Taupo Totara Timber Company (Putaruru), In their accounts for the year ended April 30,' report a net profit of £2797, compared with £8485 In the previous year and £2133 In 1942. The result 13 reached after making provision of £4718 for taxation and £12,280 for depreciation. The balance brought forward was £9895, and with £4000 transferred from the reservt for bad debts, there was a total of £ 16,692. Last year's dividends absorbed £7654, leaving a balance of £9038. Since the close of the financial year a> half-year's interest on preference strares, requiring £19ie, had been paid, reducins the carry-forward to £7122. No dividend on ordinary shares is recommended.
