BOLOYNA SOLD The Paper Money gelding Boloyna has been sold, and has been taken over by the Heddon Bush trainer, P. J. Doyle, though he is not the new owner. FIGHT OX RESUMES WORK After being off the scene for some time, Fight On has been i-ecommissioned by his owner. The big son of Defoe and Polyanna put up some good performances earlier in his career, and will only need to stx-ike form again in order to nay his way. OUT OF HACK CLASS Sir Dink has gone on the right way since the Great Northern carnival, and will be in tip-top order for the Pakuranga meeting in August. As the result of his win in the Fitzroy Handicap, Sir Dink will now have to compete in open company. However, that should not prevent him from extending his record, for the best has not yet been seen of this' four-year-old. BRED THE RIGHT AVAY The novice Happy Vaals, by Vaals from Queen Brierly, is making excellent progress under F. E. McManemin's guidance. Recently this gelding shaped well in a workout, and he is in the right condition to start off in the new season. On breeding alone, Happy Vaals should have a good future, for he is descended from a proved, family. GOING WILL SUIT HIM Since racing at the Auckland winter meeting the Bronze Eagle gelding, Rara Avis, has trained on in a very satisfactory manner. When tried over a sprint distance recently, Rara Avis handled the heavy going in rare style, and he will be a much improved horse the next time he faces the starter. As this gelding revels in heavy going, he is likely to earn some money during the next few months. CHANGE OF LOCALITY The bay gelding Kiatere Maati has joined S. McGreal's team at Pukekohe. The son of Mr. Standfast has not raced since the Waikato meeting last November, and actually has only started on four occasions during the season ending to-day. This galloper revealed very promising form as a three-year-old, but subsequently became wayward. Still, there is no doubt concerning his ability, and he may settle down again on the country courso.
