EDUCATION POLICY

CONFERENCE POSTPONED

(P.A.) WELLINGTON, Friday. The Minister of Education, Mr. Mason, announces the postponement until the spring of the education conference he called for August. This is on account of travel restrictions. In regard to the conference, he said that the material that had come to hand had enabled a good idea to be formed as to the demand for topics to be discussed and included in the agenda. He hoped the agenda paper would be circulated within the next few days to all organisations concerned. As soon as possible a synopsis of material was also to be prepared and circulated. He urged that organisations and others preparing material press forward»with it in spite of the postponement, as there was still a large amount of preliminary work to be done if. thy country was to get full value from the conference. The tentative date for the conference is now October 31.
