Measuring jugs are in short supply, so many mothers may use the marking on saucepans (at present on sale in .shops), for . making baby's food- The Plunket Society draws attention to the difference in measurements in America:— 320z eeiuals 1 quart. 16oz equals 1 pint. English Imperial measurements used in New Zealand and Britain:— 40oz equals 1 quart; 20oz equals 1 pint. OBITUARY ' MRS. P. M. MULGAN At the age of 85 the deatli has occurred in Auckland of Mrs. Frances Maria Mul'gan. Mrs, Mulgan, who was the widow of the late Mr. Edward Kerr -Mulgan,. formerly a senior inspector of schools in Auckland, was born in Dromara, County Down, Ireland, and came to New Zealand in 1879. She married Mr. Mulgan about two years after her arrival. Mrs. Mulgan is survived by two sons,' Mr. Alan Mulgan, of Wellington, and Mr. Geoffrey Mulgan, of London.
