Oil, Railway And Shipping Targets BOMBERS. FROM ITALY Rec. 2.30 p.m. LONDON, June 29. Medium forces of heavy bombers from Italy yesterday attacked two oil refineries and a railway yard in the Bucharest area of Rumania, and also the aerodrome at Karlovo. Tactical Air Force operations were hampered by adverse weather. Fighter-bombers ranged over the battle area and also in North Italy, striking against railway targets and motor transport. Shipping and other objectives at the Danube port of Giurgid, were attacked. Twenty-three enemy planes were destroyed in these operations for the loss of six. We flew approximately 1200 sorties.
