The Mayor of Auckland Mr. Allum, returned from Wellington yesterday. Mr. F. E. Westbrooke was to-day admitted as a barrister of the Supreme Court by Mr. Justice Blair, on the motion fo Mr. Sexton. Mr. H. L. Langford, locomotive foreman at Palmerston North, has retired after nearly 42 years' service on the North Island railways. Mr. C. H. Weston, K.C., has been appointed a director of the Wellington Woollen Manufacturing Co., Ltd., to fill the vacancy caused by the death of Mr. A. E. Mabin.
