TO-MORROW'S GAMES CITY HAS TASK IM LEAGUE Promoted to the first Rugby division with points equal to those of the leading team, Ponsonby meets Training College in the early match before the stands at Eden Park to-morrow. This is the first time that this old-established club lias played in the first division for three seasons. The main game will be between University and Marist. These teams last met on June 17,• when Marist was definitely superior for much of the game. Otaliuhu has improved since Manukau defeated it on the opening day of the season and should put up a good fight at Sturges Park, while Technical, after its success over Marist last week, may be a difficult problem for Grammar. To-morrow 'City has a hard task, as it will be faced by . Mount Albert, which recently had a win over OtahUhu and is only two points in arrears. Otahuhu and Ponsonby will provide the curtain-raiser at Carlaw Park, while Richmond and Pt. Chevalier and Newton and Marist will meet on the No. 2 ground. Albert Grammar Old Bovs. Naval Depot is in a strong position in this championship, having won nine of its ten matches, and may prevail over Ponsonby at Western Springs. However, the latter side has been greatly strengthened recently by returned men, including R. Innes and O. Cleal, and won well last week. Air Force and North Shore meet at Devonport. However, University is the second team and should make a good showing. Other good games should be those between St. Luke's and Owai Rovers, and Whenuapai and Mount Eden.
