LOSS OF N.Z. MAILS
RESULT OF ENEMY ACTION (P.A.) WELLINGTON, this day. The Postmaster-General, Mr. Webb, stated to-day that advice was just to hand of the loss through enemy action of two small New Zealand mails for Mombasa, British East Africa. The mails, which left here in September last contained postings for Uganda, Kenya, Tanganyika and Zanzibar, made towards the end of August and the first fortnight in September. No parcels were in the lost mails.
