COAL SHORTAGE

Has it occurred to the Government that quite a large number of elderly people and young children are suffering acutely from lack of warmth now the winter has set in. A statement was made recently by a leading member of the House that no one would heed be cold this winter. Now this is absolutely contrary to fact. In my own case my wife and four children and myself live in a small house with only a coal range, yet we can only get from our dealer one bag of coal about every three weeks. On very wet and cold days we have to keep the youngest of the children in bed. Surely there are enough men with brains in the Government to devise a fair scheme of individual ratipning of coal. FAIR PLAY.
