CO-OPERATION NEED

U.S. AND WORLD PEACE

(0.C.) SAN FRANCISCO, May 21. The Governor of Ohio, Mr. J. W Bricker, candidate for the Republican Presidential nomination, said in Milwaukee that world peace can come only through co-opeative effort of all the nations, with the United States assuming leadership. Speaking at a meeting sponsored by the State Republican organisation, Mr. Bricker said that at the end of the war this country would be the most powerful nation in the world and would be in position to demand that other nations cooperate with it in ensuring a lasting peace. &

An elderly woman caused some excitement at an open forum when she arose and asked: "Why can't our boys be brought back home to V? o" OW L Why must millions more die? Governor Bricker answered" This war was brought on us when we were attacked. We must see it through to victory." An aviation cadet, James R. Wilson, of Milkaukee, in the audience, also answered the woman by rising to say "We want to stay in until it is over. Then we want to come back."
