Germans Proclaim State Of
Siege At Oilfields

A state of siege has been proclaimed in the Ploesti oilfields area, says Moscow radio, quoting a Tass news agency report. The Germans have replaced the entire Rumanian administration, including leading technical personnel. Several large SS. detachments have arrived to euard the oilfields. The Germans are hastily removing all oil stocks from the Ploesti area.
