VALUE RECOGNISED

BATTLEFRONT DISPATCHES

LONDON, Mar. 8

"A dispatch from a war correspondent from the battlefront is a hundred times more valuable than all the handouts from the Ministry of Information or War Office." said the Minister of Information, Mr. Brendan Bracken, in a speech at the opening of the London Press Club s exhibition of wartime newspapers produced for the forces in various theatres of war. "People who gather information from the field of battle get the truth." said the Minister. "Correspondents clo more to increase public pride in the Army than anything Governments can do. This is done with the greatest skill by correspondents everywhere, and to them the British public and Government owe a great debt."
