Mr. A. H. Johnstone, K.C., left for Wellington this afternoon to attend a court of appeal.
Mr. Justice Tyndall, Judge of the Arbitration Court, arrived from Wellington yesterday.
Mr. H. V. Ward, postmaster at Lower Hutt for three years, has been appointed postmaster at Gore.
Mr. J. F. R. Harland, former subinspector of New Zealand for the Bank of Australia, has been appointed manager of the Wanganui branch of the bank.
