WIN FOR U.S. MARAUDERS
Rec. 1 p.m. RUGBY, Mar. 7. "Marauders of the United States Army Air Force Middle East squadron," states the Middle East air com-1 munique, "had a running battle ; with enemy fighters for an hour and a half yesterday in the Aegean. On i their way to Santorin Island, in the i central Aegean the Marauders encountered formations of 12 enemy ■ fighters, of which they shot down ' four. "The Marauders bombed shipping in Santorin Harbour. R.A.F. Beaufighters destroyed a floatplane in the bay at Scarpanto. Four of our air- j craft are missing." I
