ST. HELIER'S D.F.C.
WELLINGTON, Monday.
(P.A.)
The citation accompanying the award of the D.F.C. to Flying-Officer Neal Aubrey Ward, son of Mrs. S. Ward, of St. Helier's, which was announced last week, states that he is an outstanding captain of aircraft whose record covers long hours of flying in the face of enemy opposition. In August last he played a prominent part in a successful airsea rescue. Soon afterward he made a determined attack on an enemy submarine. He at all times showed high courage and devotion to duty.
