FLIGHTS FOR CADETS
A thrill will be provided for many young Aucklanders when the AilTraining Corps' own flight of four aircraft tours the Auckland province shortly, and will give every cadet, with his parents' permission, at least a 15-mile flight. One of the purposes of this flight is to enable cadets to judge their reactions in the air, and to encourage their interest in flying. The aircraft will be arriving at Mangere aerodrome in a few weeks, where they will remain some time, before flying to Whangarei, Hamilton, Thames, Rotorua, Tauranga and Te Kuiti. Every cadet who has brought forward a new recruit for the Air Training Corps is entitled to an additional 15 minutes' flying time, with the result that there are a number of young men who have quite a long flight due to them. All new recruits who have joined this year, or intend to join, will also make' this flight, and it may be possible for parents and friends of the cadets to witness their sons air experience.
