LOOSE MEAT COUPONS

EIGHT MONTHS' ISSUE

(P.A.) WELLINGTON, this day. Consumers will not have to collect their meat ration coupons from post offices weekly. The Food.Controller, Mr. Thomas, stated to-day that a sheet of coupons sufficient to last until the end of October would oe issued when coupons were available shortly. ft was ascertained to-day, states our Wellington correspondent, that it will be permissible to tender loose coupons for meat at shops, restaurants or hotals, thus obviating the necessity for people to carry ration books with them. This facility will cover cases of business people unexpectedly needing occasional meals away from home.
