A CALL TO YOUTH
This is a call to the youth of Auckland. On a recent Sunday a picnic was arranged to Waiheke by an Auckland youth organisation. It was attended' by about 200 young folk and was a huge success. If 200 young people can have so much fun together, what could 2000 do if they wore to unite? There are organisations in Auckland catering for youth, but do not have anything of this nature on Sunday. The majority of our population are on war work and long hours, and Saturdays are well broken into by the time they knock off work. Week-night activities are not convenient for the majority, considering the fact that overtime predominates in mest factories to-day. Therefore I put it to you, youth of this fair city, why not get in with this happy hand or people and be in the fun. Ljfe is what vou make it! Every Sunday—a full day—spent seeing the joys that are to be had in this Queen City of New Zealand. Wake up, you young people! LESLIE A. POOCH.
