Buying support for most stocks was strong on the Auckland Stock Exchange to-day, and a good turnover was completed at steady to firmer prices. National Banks were 3d firmer at £2 15/3, recovering to the record rate reached at the end of last month. An odd parcel of Bycrofts was placed at £2 13/, and buyers stayed In at. that. Previous dealing was in November at £2 11/3. Kauri Timbers were sought at £1 7/0, 1/ higher than December levels, while McKenzles and Macky Logans had strong offers. In the first, easing movement in insurances for a long lime New Zealands sold 6d down at £4 9/.
