PROPERTY SALES

INCREASED APPLICATIONS After a vacation of almost three weeks arranged to coincide with the holidays of the legal profession, the North, South and Urban Land Sales Committees in the Auckland district resumed their sittings yesterday and entered upon a heavy programme of work. The return of cases filed up to December 31 indicates that applications increased considerably during that month. It shows that from November 1 to the end of the year, 1112 applications for the consent by the committees to property sales were filed. Their allocations among the committees according to locality was: North Auckland, 411; South Auckland, 236; Auckland Urban, 465. Of the 1112 applications filed in November and December the committees had finally disposed of 586.
