TERMINAL DESERTED
- irUUj IN BUS SERVICES Instead of being a centre of acHvfty, the ' AucklaM Municipal Transport Terminal had a deserted appearance this morning. Buses •were , lined in ordered ranks all round the platform, but their drivers were-all attending the stopwork meeting in the, Town Hall. Only a fe\y intending travellers were to be seen in the- waiting rooms arid oh' the seats about the platform. The newly erected guide races' were empty. Some of those waiting were loaded with parcels from early/ shopping, and were 'enduring with an air of resignation, the -enforced delay. . There was, 'however, ■ considerable activity' at" the.. other end of the terminal as service cars left to timetable for various more distant places in the province. Bus companies received telephone inquiries regarding : bus services from early this morning, but were unable to give any definite indication of the time , when the services would resume. ■ North Shore services ended this morning with the 8.30 buses from Milford. From there, drivers made their way to the meeting by ferry. Services were resumed at 11.30 by buses from Bayswater. Other bus services were resumed from 11.15 to 11.30 from the city.
