MANY ABSENTEES

MINERS IN THE WAIKATO HUNTLY, Wednesday. Both the Glen Afton and MacDonald collieries were opened for work this morning, but there were many absentees. At the Glen Afton mine only 19 miners out of a total of 39 presented themselves for work, and at the Mac Donald mine only six out of a total of 93 appeared.
