PATRIOTIC FUND

ONE TREE HILL EFFORT Tribute to the work of the One Tree Hill Inter-zone Patriotic Committee in collecting £392 in excess of the district's quota was paid by the Mayor, Mr. I. J. Golcistine, at a meeting of the One Tree Hill Borough Council last night. Various activities, he said, had been organised during the year, and, as a result, a total of £8537 had been collected. A house-to-house collection had realised £1101, and at a patriotic carnival in the comparatively small district of Penrose £400 had been collected.
