MALTA'S CITATION
Lord Gort Orders Reproduction In Bronze PRESIDENT ROOSEVELT'S GIFT Rec. 1.30 p.m. RUGBY, Dec. 12. The illuminated citation which was presented to Malta by President Roosevelt, on behalf of the people of America, has added another golden page to Malta's war history, writes a correspondent in Malta. It will be the page immediately after that which King George made on his visit in June last during his historic journey to the newly-cccupied Italian territory in North Africa. The beautifully illuminated scroll is contained in a handsome wooden case. By order of Lord Gort, Commanuer-in-Chief of the island, the scroll is jto be reproduced in bronze and set up as a permanent monument in the Palace Square, where also stands the monument recording the action of the Maltese, who, by their own free will, joined tf » British Empire J n 1814.
