Czechoslovakia
SIGNATURE IN MOSCOW
(Rec. noon)
LONDON, Dec. 12
Russia and Czecnoslovakia to-day signed a amity and mutual aid and collaboration after the war. Marshal Stalin, accompanied by M. Kalinin and Dr. Benes, the Czechoslovak President, attended the ceremony. The Soviet Foreign Commissioner, M. Molotov, signed for Russia, and Dr. Fierlinger, the Czechoslovak Minister in Moscow, signed for Czechoslovakia.
A summary of the treaty, issued tin December 3, stated that Russia and Czechoslovakia would co-operate to defeat Germany and to prevent any further German aggression in the East. They would also collaborate in mutual economic advantages and refrain from interfering in each other's political affairs. A protocol invited the participation in the treaty of their European neighbours who had not been in the enemy camp.
