DEFEATING NIPPON
EARLY OFFENSIVE NEEDED Rec. 2 p.m. LONDON, Dec. 6. If the offensive in the Far East comes quickly Japan can be knocked out of the war in a very short time. This is the unanimous view of the Chinese mission now visiting Britain. Dr. Wang Shih-Chieh, who heads the mission, an ex-Minister of Education and ex-Minister of Information in the Chinese Government, and a close friend of Marshal Chiang Kai-shek, stated: "The Allies can finish Japan probably within a year if they act promptly. If a general offensive is delayed very much longer it will take some time to break down the enemy's resistance, for Japan is now trying to consolidate her position."
