NURSES' ASSOCIATION

The lady superintendent of the Auckland Hospital, Miss V. M. Cussen, introduced the new president of the Auckland branch of the New Zealand Registered Nurses' Association at the annual general meeting, held at the Nurses' Club, Mountain Road, and paid a warm tribute to the work of the retiring president, Mrs. C. Knight. Each of the retiring councillors, Mrs. A. M. Haresnape and Miss M. Bagley, was presented with a book by Miss Joyce, who also welcomed twd new members, Misses H. Comrie and A. B. Smith. Matters of importance to nurses were discussed and remits for the 1944 conference were called for, the delegates selected being Mrs. Knight, Miss Joyce and Misses I. Henderson and E. Hilditch.
