BOMBERS AND FIGHTERS Interviewed in New York, MajorGeneral L. H. van Oyen, newlyappointed Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Netherlands Indies Army, before his departure to Australia, where he has just arrived, revealed that the training of all Dutch air cadets in the United States will be finished at the beginning of next year. Major-General van Oyen, who has become Lieutenant-General since his arrival in Australia, said further:— "Many students who graduated from the training centre in Port Jackson (Mississippi) have already gone to the fighting fronts and have joined squadrons in England and Australia, and in the Netherlands Naval Air Service. A considerable number of Jackson-trained flyers have already seen action In England and Australia, where we are organising more bomber and fighter squadrons."
