PERSONAL

Mr. T. F-. Skinner will leave for the south to-night to attend a meeting of the National Utilisation Committee in Wellington. Commodore S. D. Jupp, Commanding Officer of the United States Naval Operating Base, returned to Auckland this morning. Sergeant F. Taylor, of the Auckland Police Force, has received notice of his transfer to the Ruatoria district, Gisbcrne, as police officer in charge. Mr. J. R. Virtue, of Wellington, has been elected president of the New Zealand Grain, Seed and Produce Merchants' Association for his third term. Mr. M. Bisley, of Hamilton, has been re-elected chairman of the fertiliser committee of the association.
