petent and were not entitled to the name—teacher. She is undoubtedly characteristic of those people ■whb expect the teacher to do all thp work, while they sit back and dav dream, or play the fool. After somi time when the examinations beein to throw light on the lazy ones our secondary school student begins to realise that her results are not im to the standard, and rather than admit her laziness, she deceives everybody else. Does she ever con sider those unfortunate people vfhn are unable to afford the requisite of a secondary school, as she can' They work during the day and apart from a few nights weekly at night school, have to depend entirely on themselves and their text-books, which Is a great strain on the lives of our younger self dependent generation. "Secondare"' School Student" has proved herself ungrateful towards her superiors who have all, no doubt, tried their best for pupils who try to worthard. SOYEZ RECONNAISSANCE,
