GERMANS IN BULGARIA
Occupation Reported With Premier As Gauleiter Rec. 2 p.m. LONDON, Sept. 26. Quoting "a trustworthy source," Moscow radio to-night reported that German forces are occupying Bulgaria in full force. The Premier, Dobri Boshiloy. is stated to be fulduties of Nazi gau letter. The rulers of Bulgaria have shown their pro-Nazi sympathies almost since the outbreak of war, but there have been many reports of dissatisfaction among the people. German troops were early reported to have moved into Bulgaria, and relations with Britain became very strained just before the commencement of the Greek campaign, when the British Minister left. Sofia. Bulgaria sided with Germany after the Nazi invasion of Russia, and at the end of December, 1941, she declared war on Britain. King Boris paid several visits to Hitler, the last being just before his death at the end of August last. Rumours that the pro-Nazi Prime Minister Filov was ill were followed by reports of popular demands in Bulgaria for a democratic Government. Bulgaria was in a state of siege, with the Gestapo in control of all public services. A new Bulgarian Cabinet was announced in midSeptember with Dobri Boshilov as Prime Minister.
