SEVENTEEN MEMBERS
ELECTED ON MINORITY VOTE
On the provisional count eleven Labour and six National members of the new Parliament were elected on a minority vote. The greatest minority was in the case of the Prime Minister, Mr. Fraser, whose opponents secured an aggregate of 7749 votes against Mr. Fraser's The following are the successful Labour members who hold their seats on a minority vote:—Mr. F. W. Schramm (Auckland East). Mr. W. T. Ahderton (Eden) Mr E. P. Meachen (Marlborough), Mr. A. E. Armstrong (Napier), Mr. C. R. Petrie (Otahuhu), Mr. L. G. Lowry (Otaki), Mr. J. Hoddens (Palmerston North), Mr. R. Coulter (Raglan), Mr. A. S. Richards (Roskill), Mr. B. Roberts (Wairarapa), Mr. P. Fraser (Wellington Central). The National minority seats are held by:—Mr. F. Findlay (Hamilton), Mr. G. H. Mackley (Masterton), Mr. E. P. Aderman (New Plymouth), Mr. T. R. Beatty (Oamaru), Mr. H. T. Morton (Waitemata), Mr. C. M. Bowden (Wellington West).
