EMPIRE COMPETITION

New Zealand's participation in an Empire competition for the best poster to be used on Empire Youth Sunday, May 21, 1944, has been announced by the Minister of Internal Affairs, Mr. Parry. "I hope our New Zealand artists will take full advantage of this double opportunity " he said.

The prizes for the main competition will be £50, £25 and five of £5 each. In addition, said Mr. Parry there will be a New Zealand competition with a first prize of £20, a second of £10, and five of £5 each. The winning posters in the Dominion contest will be entered for the Empire competition. The project, which is organised by the Canadian .Council of Education, has the support of the British Board of Education.
