N Z Press Association —Copyright Rec.2p.m. LONDON, Sep. 24. Mr Churchill's declaration of Britain's determination to fight m the Pacific had not entirely disposed of American apprehensions said the United States Secretary for the Navy, Colonel Knox. addressing a Press conference in London. "You are thoroughly aware of the European war, but you are not nearly so well aware of the equally great war going on a long way from you " he said. "I think the reverse is true of the Americans. Both situations ought to be corrected. "Nothing would be more disturbing to America's growing confidence in the British relationship than for us to feel that once Hitler is disposed of you would feel the job was done and the rest could be left to us That must not happen. It sup to the British Press to see that it doesn't happen."

Rec. noon. CHUNGKING, Sep. 24.
