DELAYED PAYMENTS
COMPLAINT BY FIRMS Two complaints of delay in the payment, of Government accounts were received at the meeting of the Auckland Chamber of Commerce yesterday, and it was decided that the Associated Chambers of Commerce be asked to take up the matter. Mr. Spencer said that when inquiries were previously made it was found that the payments had been authorised by the Departments concerned, but had been held up by the Treasury Department "The Treasury seems to be against paying out," he added.
