TRAWLER AGROUND

When the 50ft seine trawler Waiwera broke her lines and drifted ashore at Tokomaru Bay on Sunday, considerable damage was done to the keel, and the rudder was broken off. The crew were awakened by the rocking of the vessel, but could not prevent it from going on the rocks. Shipwrights have left for Tokomaru Bay to effect repairs, and attempts to tow the vessel to Auckland will be made in two or three days. The Waiwera is owned by Waitemata Fisheries, Limited.
