RULING RATES HELD

Steady trading'at late values was done on the Auckland Stock Exchange to-day. Insurances were again fairly active at strong levels. Australian Consolidated Industries moved up 3a to £2 16/, which is the best price on the local market for some years. Commercial Banks of Australia prefs. had their first business since May, showing a rise of 5/. They were ex.dividend nearly a month ago.
