Turnover expanded substantially on the ' Auckland Stock Exchange to-day, and ' values were generally steady to firmer: Exceptional activity took place in Auck- ' land Gas fully paid shares, no fewer ' than seven parcels and some smaller lotg changing hands at 6/9, unchanged. ' Broken Hill Proprietary was again in ; keen demand, with late business at £2 4/S, a rise of another 2d. A large block ' of 1952-55 3 per cent Liberty Loan stock ! changed hands at £98 5/, a fall of 2/6. . Government 4 per cents were in steady ' demand, with few sellers.
