ACCUSED ACQUITTED

WHISKY THEFT DENIED After 55 minutes' consideration a verdict of not guilty on all counts was returned by the jury in the trial of William James Henri' (Mr. Dickson and Mr. Haigh). The accused had pleaded not guilty to two charges of theft of whisky, totalling 708 bottles, valued at £575, also to alternative charges of receiving the whisky knowing it to have been stolen from Hutchinsons, wholesalers.
