The following appointments and promotions of officers of the New Zealand Military Forces were gazetted to-night:— Lieutenant-Colonel (Temporary-Colonel) V. A. Young, Royal Artillery, relinquishes l«e""appdiritWfciit;aC'.COTaniander of Artillery, Southern -Military District, and the local rank of colonel on his return to the United Kingdom. •• XT -;„ . Temporary-Major T. A. Turner, New ■Zealand Artillery, is granted the acting '(unpaid) ranlc of Lieutenant-Colonel while employed on the directing stair of a staff college. , . Sister G. C. Porteous, New Zealand Army Nursing Service, to be temporarymatron while holding the appointment of matron of a North Island camp hospital. Temporary-Lieutenant-Colonel R. H. Bell, New Zealand Staff Corps, relinquishes command of • the- Canterbury Yeomanry Cavalry., Regiment and is attached for duty., .to the AdjutantGeneral's branch, Army Headquarters. Temporary-Lieutenanpcolonel A- J • "Nicoli. is appointed to command the Canterbury Yeomanry Cavalry Regiment. ■ Temporary-Lieutenant-Colonel T. V. Fitzpatrick relinquishes command of a battalion of the Waikato Regiment and is appointed, to commend a battalion of the Hauraki Regiment' vice Major (Tem-porary-Lieutenant-Colonel) B. R. Remington who is appointed to command a battalion of the Auckland Regiment (Countess of Ranfurly's Own). He replaces Major (Temporary-Lieutenant-Colonel) S. E. Senior, who is appointed to command a battalion of the "Waikato Regiment.
