RUGBY IN SOUTH
'VARSITY AND NAVY ALL SQUARE The feature of last week's Rugby contests in the south was a 10 points draw betwei-.i University and Navy at Wellington. There has been considerable controversy in the capital over the classification of senior clubs. At a special meeting of delegates it was decided to postpone the opening of the championship proper until as late as the middle of June. Results of other games played last Saturday were:— Wellington.—Marist 28, v. Fortress Maoris 0; Hutt 12, v. Army 9: Old Boys 16, v. Wellington 6; Seatoun 38, v. Miramar 12; Pon&ke-Oriental 26, v. Eastbourne 6; Petone 14, v. Athletic 13; Air Force A 13, v. Air Force B 3; Johnsonville 36, v. A.N.A. 7. Christchurch. —Army 15, v. Air Force A 8; Athletic-University 27, v. Battery 3; Linwood Combined 6. v. Albion 6.
