BATTLE ABANDONED
NAZI AND ITALIAN AIRMEN Rec. 2.30 p.m. LONDON, May 10. The prisoners taken thus far in Tunisia include 3000 Luftwaffe personnel. Reports from various sources say that both the German and Italian Air Forces have abandoned the battle in Africa. Most of the high commanding officers and many pilots left Tunisia in planes, leaving ground staffs without air support.
