ELECTRICITY SUPPLIES
I read in a recent "Star" that another shortage of electricity was to be experienced and that there would be restrictions placed on the use of radiators, etc., during the winter months. I was amazed to read this information, as I had been led to believe that there was an abundance of electricity by the fact that the street lamps in my locality are kept blazing away imtil 7 a.m. all the year round. It has always seemed so ridiculous to go out on a bright sunny morning and see the lights still on. In a locality such as mine it is quite unnecessary to have the street lamps on after miilnight, as very few people pass down the streets after that hour, so if the Power Board would effect a saving in this direction there would be ample electricity for the comfort of children and invalids during the cold weather. BLAZE AWAY.
