SERVICE INTERRUPTED

A certain amount of delay to tram traffic occurred between four and five o'clock yesterday afternoon when a section of check rail on the curve running into Broadway near the Royal George Hotel came adrift and caused the front bogie of a tram to leave the track. After this car had been replaced another tram met with the same misnap, ana a welding plant was used to fit in a new section of check rail. Traffic passed through during repairs and no cars were rerouted. There was no interruption to trams on the Parnell-Remuera line.
