DISTRIBUTION OF EGGS

PLUNKET SOCIETY HELP (O C) WELLINGTON, Tuesday. Commenting on the egg shortage, the Minister of Marketing, Mr Barclay, said to-day that the Phinket Society, which had been very helpful in the distribution of oranges during the time of shortage, had also co-operated with the Marketing Division in authorising, by means of chits, supplies of eggs to .nursing mothers and children under five years. This 'had applied to Wellington and Auckland, but now that shortages were occurring in other centres, the Marketing Division would be glad to receive the cooperation and help of the Plunket Society in arranging priorities for eggs and oranges when _ available during times of insufficiency for normal civil needs.
