JOCKEY'S DEATH
A LEADING HORSEMAN
ILLNESS ENDS FATALLY
After a severe illness extending over several months the well-known jockey, C. G. Goulsbro, died in the Waikato Hospital this morning.
-He was recognised as one of the leading horsemen in recent years, and among the numerous winners ridden by him were Cerne Abbas (New Zealand Cup), Mungatoon
(A.R.C. Handicap), Te Hero and Lou Rosa (G.N. Foal Stakes), Essex (G.N. Derby), Kronos (G.N. Champagne Stakes), Te Hero and Lou Rosa (A.R.C. Royal Stakes), Anopheles (A.R.C. Welcome Stakes), Galilee and Miss Baffles (Avondale Stakes), Ardfinnan (Marlborough Cup) and Foreign Coin (Wanganui Guineas).
