RUGBY LEAGUE
The prospects of the new season which is to be opened on April 10 with preliminary matches were reported upon at a meeting held last evening of the Auckland Rugby League. The chairman, Mr. J. W. Watson, said most of the senior clubs had discussed the senior grade competition, which would be played on the same lines as last season. Several affiliated clubs and officials put forward suggestions in writing and these will be discussed at the annual meeting. The resignation of Mr. A. Chapman, the recently appointed treasurer, who has been transferred from Auckland, was accepted with regret.
