101 YEARS OLD

Her 101 st birthday was celebrated yesterday by Mrs. Isabella Bain Munro, of Sixth Avenue, Tauranga, who is still very active. Born at Lossiemouth, Scotland, she married the late Mr. William Munro, a ship's officer, and lived in Scotland and London before coming to New Zealand in 1903. Mr. Munro established a shipwright business in Auckland, and thev lived at Ponsonby and Onehunga. After Mr. Munro retired, they moved to Lake Rotoiti. Mrs. Munro still does a certain amount of housework in the home of her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Munro, of Tauranga. Mr. Munro died 27 years ago.
