Mr. W. W. Meek left for Wellington by plane to-day. The Rev. J. Ings, of Matamata, leaves next week to take up duties at Northland. Dr. Leonard Smith Talbot has been appointed a member of the Town Planning Board until September, 1945. Mr. Justice O'Regan has been reappointed Judge of the Compensation Court for the period until January 31, 1944. Mr. F. G. Farrell, president of the Automobile Association (Auckland), and Mr. A. Grayson, president of the North Island Motor Union, have returned from Wellington^
Mr. J. D. Revie has been appointed woolgrowers' representative on the New Zealand Wool- Council, and Mr. Wilfred" Doig lias been appointed representative of producers of meai for export on the New Zealand Meat Producers' Board, both in placc of'the late 'Mr. H. D. Acland.
