ESCAPED PRISONER

ADDITIONAL SENTENCE Stanley Thomas Port, a labourer, aged 19, who escaped some weeks ago from the Auckland prison, came before Mr. Justice Fair to-day for sentence on charges of escaping from legal custody, and theft while at liberty. Mr. S. Cleal, for the Crown, said the prisoner had escaped in company with another prisoner named McMullen, who had been already sentenced.

Prisoner was treated in the same way as McMullen by the imposition of an additional term of one year, with hard labour.
